I had little to worry about for God had brought together just the right people. We saw a diesel mechanic become a fine plumber, a sales and technical fellow become a fine electrician, a Reverend become among other things a fine cabinetmaker, grandmothers become jack of all trades, young ladies who had never picked up a hammer become proficient in driving in hundreds of nails without hitting a finger and so it goes on and on until the team could finally walk away from the site knowing that every task set to be done was done - plus some more. How wonderfully God blesses when people make themselves available to His call on their life.

Singing with the kidsWe played soccer, sang, laughed and cried with the children. We ate African food, some visited local hospitals and schools while others taught Zambian women how to knit. We preached in a couple of churches with the help of an interpreter and experienced a great deal more. One of the most rewarding times experienced there was to sit and listen to the orphan children sing each night after dinner, or supper as they call it. We shall never attain the simple beauty or quality of their singing in the western world. Many of the words we could not understand, but one thing we did understand was the wonderful child-like faith that came from the lives of these wretchedly poor Zambian children as they sang to us each night.

How wonderfully blessed we were in going and to have been there. May the Lord continue to bless this work and may He call many more willing team members to this wonderful mission ministry at Eagles Wings.

All in all it was a wonderful experience, one I will encourage others to share in because I know as they do, God will change them. ?I guarantee, you will never be the same again.?

Joe Jansen (Team Leader, and very thankful for the opportunity)
