John 3:16 Wishing you all a very blessed Easter as we praise and thank our Lord for the amazing gift of life through Jesus Christ. Everyone?s been very busy and God has continued to bless the Eagles Wings ministry beyond measure. Here?s an update on what?s been happening. Mark and Graham tour Asia ? March 2004 Please join us in praising and thanking God for the wonderful opportunities Mark and Graham had touring Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand (yes, 4 countries in 1 month!) to raise awareness and funds for Eagles Wings. They were warmly received and very blessed by the wonderful hospitality shown to them. Over AU$5,500 was raised and nearly 400 CDs sold. Welcome home Reid! Reid returned to Brisbane late February after 3 months with the Eagles Wings team in Zambia during which time much was achieved, the main project being the building of accommodation for Adele on the farm. Not long now ?til the first field trip During Reid?s time in Zambia, final arrangements for the first field trip were sorted out and everyone is looking forward to July when 40 disadvantaged kids in our care will be taken on the trip of their lives ? a week-long educational trip to Victoria Falls in the south of Zambia, where they will visit a museum, game park, crocodile farm as well as meet up with some other disadvantaged children for a game of soccer or 2! Please join with us in prayer for this exciting adventure for the children (and the leaders!), that it may be a time of learning as well as affirmation of our, as well as Christ?s, love for each of them. New program sponsorship scheme Please join us in prayer for continued guidance as the finishing touches are now being put to our new program sponsorship scheme which will provide greater opportunities for those wishing to support Eagles Wings financially. In brief, we will be offering 3 levels of program sponsorship:
Adele has settled in really well considering the huge cultural change that she has experienced. Please keep Adele in your prayers as she strives to do God?s will in an environment which functions so very differently to what we?re used to and as she builds relationships with each of the children at the farm. As well as book-keeping and Bible studies with the children, there have already been a number of hospital visits with sick children as well as visits to the family homes of some of our children before they began living on the streets. Many of these families have abused their children or simply don?t have the finances to care for them and they need our help and our prayers. We have committed to and are caring for 10 of these families to help them get back on their feet. Adele?s caring nature beautifully compliments the amazing work which Lackson and his family are already doing at the farm. We praise God for Adele?s good health and continue to pray for protection and good health for Adele as well as the children in our care, Lackson and our other workers at the farm.
