Adele is returning soon ?
Adele Leibinger, who left comfortable retirement in Brisbane, Australia
in late January this year to work as our pioneer
administration/communication volunteer with Eagles Wings in Zambia,
will be returning to Australia in time for Christmas. It's been an
enormous year for Adele and the amount of administration work which she
has been able to achieve with our Lord's strength has been awesome, eg
organising efficient bookkeeping, insurance cover as well as employment
contracts for our Zambian national co-workers, and the year is not yet
over! This is on top of her daily work which can include sewing boys'
split pants!, taking children to the doctor, holding weekly Bible
studies for new Christians, keeping up communication with the
Australian team and establishing a vegetable garden and small orchard! Having said this, we know very well that Adele would want all the glory for what has been achieved to be given to our Lord Jesus Christ (and rightly so!) who has enabled her, protected her and sustained her through what was not always an easy year, as well as acknowledge the many who have been a great support and help to her. Living on the farm with the children and Lackson and his family has enabled Adele to form close relationships with them all - relationships she and they will always treasure ? and when the time comes for her to return, goodbyes are going to be very difficult. With Adele's return in December, Eagles Wings is seeking a self-supporting volunteer with administration experience to fill this role for approximately 2 years.
