Working and ministering to street children is diverse and complex. It involves much consideration and wisdom to restore hope and life back into such a child and their family. At Eagles Wings, we place a major emphasis on rebuilding relationships between the child and their existing family so that in time children may be reintegrated. Our transit home is a last resort for children who have no known existing family or family who, for a variety of reasons, are currently unable to care for their children. We are committed to ensuring the family and community are placed at the forefront of caring for their own children. We believe in and hope that we can begin to establish other alternative care measures that have the child’s best interest at heart. Always though, it is a joy to work with children in difficult circumstances, assisting them to reach their full potential.
